Business Process Architecture · Level 100

An engineer-to-order manufacturer, before and after its pivot to Hybrid/CTO

A real transformation, mapped to the APQC process standard. Same work on the floor — the difference is which process owns each step, in what order they really run, and whether Supply Chain is in the room. Company details are anonymised.

What you are looking at

A manufacturer that built every system as a one-off project, project by project, and stalled under about €20M. Over three years it moved product engineering, then supply chain, out of the project and into their own streams. Three value streams became five.

How to read it

ETO (engineer-to-order): every order designed from zero. Hybrid/CTO (configure-to-order): a reusable platform, configured per client. Each box is an official APQC process, with its code (2.0 product development, 3.0 sell, 4.0 supply chain, 5.0 deliver, 6.0 service).

How to use it

Press Play, or step with Next. Drag the slider to scrub between before and after. Click any box for its detail.
